That's everything I know about the tournament so far, but I'll keep you updated as I learn more about hotel rates, tournament format, tournament fees, etc.

Anybody want to volunteer to drive? Let me know if you can drive / need a ride and we'll figure things out from there.

Try and get some running in outside of pick-up and practice in the next couple weeks...you'll probably be glad you did in Washington.

Shit gets busy sometimes when you lose control. So now its about 2 weeks out from Vegas shenanigan and we are prepping the masses this year. 21 people or some shit will be on our team. That should be fun, we can have 3 fucking lines of people ready to go.

I hope it isn't cold as shit like it was last year. I'm pretty sure it was warmer in Montanimalville than it was in Vegas, but we got drunk instead and had loads of fun.

Hopefully the old knees and old balls will hold out this year and I will be able to perform for the ladies. Bitch is coming along again this year so that is sweet, although, I think he might just be an old lady and sit on the sideline and drink. Actually, that sounds pretty fun, maybe I will join him.

Hotels

We need to decide if we want to stay at The Plaza or The Tropicana.

Traditionally , the Rum Runners have stayed at The Plaza, which has just the right amount of class for our team and is located on Freemont street, where the tables are cheap and dreams come true. Not to mention the Paradise Buffet is right down the street. We can stay there for between $25 and $35 per person for the whole tournament, depending on how many nights we all stay and how many people we want to put in each room.

The Tropicana is the new tournament hotel, and the place where many of the other TiV teams will be staying. It's also located on the real strip, right next door to the Bellagio. But the tables down there are more expensive and the hotel will cost about $10 more per person. It might be a nice change from what we've always done, though, and it might be fun to be with the other teams.

So let me know what you think. write a comment on here or text me or Facebook me or something. I want to make this decision pretty soon because that weekend is when the Super Bowl will be on, and Vegas will probably be a pretty busy place, so I want to make sure we get rooms.

Have a good break, and hopefully I will have some printed jerseys waiting for you when you get back.

We got a bid. I paid up front for 14 spots, but we can add more players if we need to. I need to know how many people are going, so either leave a comment on here,text me, or tell me at practice.

Speaking of practice, come on Thursday night at 8. If you want to come to Vegas, bring me $25 dollars then and I will put you on the roster. We will also discuss jerseys and screen printing, so if you need jerseys for Vegas and don't have them yet, tell me what size you need and write me a check for a dark and a light jersey($34 for both), or for those plus the shorts ($57 for all three), and I will give you a set or order more if I don't have your size. Trust me, you want the shorts. Please let me know as soon as possible what you need so I can try and have everybody's stuff printed by the end of Winter Break.

One more thing: starting this Sunday we will also be practicing in Shroyer Gym from 2-5 in addition to Thursday nights in Romney. We have it all the way through next semester, but next semester's Romney meetings will be on Monday nights instead of Thursdays.

We're going to a tournament on October 9-11, which is next weekend! It's called the Big Sky Warm-Up and it is in Logan, UT. We will be playing against 9 other teams from Utah, Colorado, Nevada, and Washington. So far, the roster looks like this:

I'm going to send in an order for uniforms tomorrow or the next day. We don't need to order one for everybody on the team right now, but I am going to order enough for everybody who is going to Utah to have a white and a yellow to play in, just so we don't have to go looking like this:

I already got sizes from most people but if you haven't told me what you want already, especially if you're coming to Utah, let me know. The guy I talked to from Patagonia said we could get them before next Friday if I ordered before the end of the week. Jerseys cost $17 apiece or $34 for a white and a yellow. If you want shorts from Patagonia, they're $21 a pair.

In other news, we have practice space reserved in the Romney Gym from 8 PM to 10 PM every Thursday. I don't know how many people will be there tomorrow, but it's reserved for us all the way through the end of the semester if anybody wants to play or throw around.

Yeah... that's me, celebrating after winning the championship game of a local hat tournament outside of Boston a week and a half ago. To my left is Teddy Browar-Jarus... A pretty sick player from Ironside. He mighta had something to do with us winning... but I like to thing it was my beard that put us over the top. Its really fuckin awesome to play with a guy that is at the total top of the sport... they just make it seem effortless. The tourney itself was a grueling 6 games in 80+ degree sunshine, I mostly cut, which was a fun (but exhausting) change for me. Also I had a sick eye-level layout D (which I caught) in out second or third game... which people were talking about all over the tournament all day. Oh, did I mention it was on a girl? Probably why they were talking about it.

Weeks of unemployment and general laziness greeted me on my return to Alaska. Waking up mid afternoon, playing a round of disc golf, then heading to pick-up or summer league has been a grueling spring schedule. The weather has been amazing and the combination of it all has had me prepared for a weekend of drinking, throwing, and catching.

This June 6th and 7th, Thom Walker hosted the 5th annual Fairbanks hat. A paltry $30 turned into all you can drink beer/margaritas, unlimited taco bar, and a raging good time. Our red Saturn Vue cruised out of town with Brett Linder behind the wheel with myself as co-pilot. A quick stop in Peter's Creek rounded at the crew, adding ogre and ultimate player Nate B-B-B-BERRY!

7 hours, 5 red bull, 2 bags of candy, 2 slices of pizza, a gallon of water, and 17 gallons of gas later, we arrived in Fairbanks. Pizza was found (meatlover) and devoured and the trip was made to moose mountain. With the human GPS(myself) navigating, we rolled in at 11.

The party had yet to be started and it was looking like the FNP 2009 wasn't going to match up with FNP 2008, a friday night party of epic proportions made larger by the THICK THICK haze of memory. 2008's FNP was a rabbit - quick, elegant, and lean, the party started well with the margarita machine up and running. Quick thinking by Steve "Black Ninja" Ferring and I saw tequila fueling the margarita machine leading to early nights/lack of memories. FNP 2009 saw no margarita machine. It saw warriors, carrying their drinks into the heart battle, scrounging up more ammunition, more beer, and more tequila.

It was a RAGING BATTLE of blood and beer. Mosquitos buzzed and swarmed, and some more mosquitos showed up. The beer - Sol, Tecate, Corona, - A.K.A. the mexican special forces marshalled by Generallisimo Jose battled for supremacy. The mosquitos were winning and we were forced to retreat into the chalet.

I was wounded by the drive and the beer and had to go to sleep at 1. It sucked. It was hot, and warm, punctuated by LOUD screams of "FUCK!@ OYOU!" Squeezed some sleep, called it a Power nap, and went back to the party around 3.

Presidents and Assholes was the game. I stepped in and dominated, similar to nearly every game I played that weekend. Soberness was found to be the cause for victory, and soon a new bottle of tequila was opened and the party found new life and energy. Roll call: Bill, Nate, Ryan, Venic, Killian, Weldon, and Steve.
We moved outside and Nate gathered firewood, I threw blades, and I have no idea what everyone else did.

Suddenly it was 7:30 and time to head to the fields... Several people pulled all nighters... a terribly FUN way to start a tournament.

What up Rummies!?

I miss you every day... and that's why I still check this blog 5 times more often than posts are added when I should be doing work! Also I thought you all should know that as part of my sick fetish/obsession with the Rum Runners I've been wearing my green rummy jersey under my NF jersey for the last two tournaments. But here's the strange part... we're undefeated when I wear it. I think I got all of the losing out of it when I was playing with you guys! Anyway we've got Regionals coming up this weekend and hopefully it can bring us some luck there as well. We're gonna need it. But I'm getting ahead of myself...

How about, since I'm terrible at keeping in touch with people, a quick (ultimate) life update as my first post?

If you don't know me, my name is Brett, and I played with the RRs for the two seasons prior to this one. Last year I lived in the big yellow house with all the Alaskans, and Bill and I were pretty inseparable. I've since moved on to Wesleyan University in Connecticut (such a shitty state- especially in contrast to Montana) where I play for a team called Nietzsch Factor.

For some reason these guys think I'm good at ultimate and have made me one of the starting defensive handlers. Bill deserves a lot of the credit for this since he taught me about 90% of what I knew about the sport when I joined this team. So young guys... listen and learn from him! And all the Bozo's are great to learn from as well of course. Bozeman has a ridiculously high frisbee IQ as compared with anyplace else I have lived.

I spent the fall trying to impress these guys so they'd put me on the team, and slowly learning their (much more sophisticated) offensive and defensive sets. Needless to say, it worked out and now I'm helping them chump chumpy schools. We haven't lost since spring break, although the competition has been pretty suspect for the most part. Winning our sectional tournament was pretty sweet tho... especially since apparently Brown had won it 7 years in a row before that.

Anyway, as I said we're heading into Regionals this weekend and it should be a blast. We really have no idea where we stack up since we haven't played any of these teams this year besides Brown.

Now, onto ultimate. You are here to read about a team that shouldn't ever make it anywhere. Guess what, we do. You know why? Becuase, unlike other teams we like to play hard and have fun at the same time. Other teams go about playing all seriously and whatnot and we don't. Its not that we don't care, because believe me, we do. We just play to have fun and win.

Really if any team could be sponsered it would be us, by PBR. Its really not that bad of a thing either. We throw the disc much better when we aren't worried about pleasing the sideline like the other teams. Golden Spike can learn a few things from this team. Just look down a few posts and take in the picures of how a team can play while taking in some...stuff.

in bozeman, when the sun begins to shine, so do the women. after nearly six months of, for lack of a better word, hibernation, the beautiful women of bobcat country have blossomed. what started as a pair of tight fitting jeans two weeks ago has officially conformed into full on skank wear. this sharp transformation is to be expected as its kinda hard to show off that beach body with snow at mid-calf. now, with short skirts, comes deep hucks. last weeks snow storm not only put a damper the arrival of the much anticipated lovely ladies of the gallatin valley but it also delayed the arrival of intramural frisbee.

THE EVENT: it was originally slated to be a four game season involving round robin play within each pool of five. following this would be five days of intense playoff action. the season, arriving a week late, is now two games long with playoffs remaining the same. some teams even have a bye this week so, sucks for them, one game season. the bozeman college ultimate squad will be represented by two main teams. the young guns, aka physics team II, will be powered by the big three of aMac camas and billy and the not so little three of joey, anna and kimel. the younger guns aka team donkey punch, will be run by non other than the infamous rasta iain. claiming to have a cure for our lack of throwing skill we quickly appointed him team shaman and egerly await his potion that will (and i quote) "clense your soul and make you feel niiiiiiiiice".

the best part is he woke up like this. he got creamed on by an oger

so ive got a new found luv for walla walla. last year can suck my balls, it snowed on sunday. the only place my booze ravaged body could hide was in the stale sani-can by our field. shit was wack. long story short, this year, bill was applying spf50 to his pale ass thighs like that shit was going out of style!

our "leasurly" drive went almost as smooth as the milwaukee's we picked up in spokane. upon arrival into walla walla we immediatly found the most magical reasturant we could...El Sombrero Mexican. its like dennys except it runs through you quicker. billy and anna got margaritas. i was left to stare on helplessly as they didnt except mustaches as a form of id.

the whole team was staying at aprils parents outside of town. billy and anna went to bed (gag). this left two soilders of rum left to serve the flag proud. natty in tow and a local to lead the way (holla at a playa miss bowers) we quickly found our way to all the most bangin partys. the best by far was at this trap house located smack dab between three "dry" frat houses. lots of beers and lots of bros(leagues better than msu frats). sean got freaky with some chick but when he told her he wasnt a sigma she promptly left for the next boner to rub up on and leave stranded asking for more. we eventually left and decided to call it a night when we ended up at the Drag Fest after party(students dress up in drag and go to some school sponsored dance. it was weird.

woke up to billy opening the back of the car. i slept in the back, sean was in the middle. convenient. went to the field and were met with cheese bagels and jello shots, godbless the west the party has officially began.

bought some natty, sparks, gin and red cups. thor doenst like cups. he likes to punish the young the old pussies n bold in the commonality known to most as a boat race. see the chest hair? its real.

got free burritos, sat much better than the previous nights food. by the time the showcase game rolled around we were all feeling pretty...confident? sure. confident enough to eat an onion? yup. fritz and i gave it a go. i got worked. three big bites and my burrito was teasing to come back up. fritz tore it up but choked at the finish line. pun? you be the judge.party time. aprils house for hot tub, pool, and daddys bday party. after getting cute we piled in cars and headed to the party to liven things up a bit i promised $20 to whomever had the game to suck on some titties by the time the sun rose. the party was sprawled through the backyards of three neighboring houses with 8 kegs or somthing rediculous. played gargoyle at a secret keg with some whitman dudes and a few members of mustache rides(missoula). the party was dying down around 3 and there was still keg left. i was the lone bozeman standing("standing") everyone past out, somthing had to be done so...missoula, with some rando(me), stole the keg and ran it through downtown to their hotel.

wishing at this point to sleep in the back of the car i declined the floor space offered by missoula. 7am in walla walla on a sunday morning isnt the best time to find a place to shit. i found a gas station. it was horrible. called trusty aiden and he picked me up on his way back from retriving josh. turns out i owed josh a 20 as he spent his night in the dorms. BOOOOOOYAAAAAHHH!

sunday was great. very hot. we all got drunk again. cyn shot some disaproving looks our way but soon realized it was a battle she couldnt win. everyone was tired sunburnt and wanting to sleep in their own bed so alas, we began the trek home. i slept the whole way back. billy drove, not sure how he did it, mentioned something about redbull and bubble gum.
we also played some ultimate and even went 3-3

Nate and Jess did an excellent job taking care of Alex and I on friday... we were in the backseat the whole time. Our early start time was offset by early season snowstorm that covered the interstate in an inch or two of snow... definitely sketchy driving, almost too scary to sleep. Finally got some napping in, woke up an hour from Spokane, we're going to OG. Second time ever, unlimited pasta bowls... amazing. Gorge myself, food coma the rest of the way to OR.

Friday night, bozos party with missoula at some bar in the middle of nowhere that is unpopulated by locals, just us. Darts galore, Alex died.

Ready to unleash hell on this slut team... We came out running, not really fast or slow, but running; Hunzicker used their Carleton wiles to frustrate us with a zone that wasn't too much for us. But it was more than enough to get a few turns from us that led to several breaks for them. I think I threw a shitty hammer or two this game getting use to sea level throwing again. Chief had us from the get go. Reading a write up by Mischief captain blah ha blah... over at the huddle, he mentioned how they let up in the second half of their Night Train game. This apparently was not in their game plan, and for our game they decided to bring the intensity the whole game. How did we respond to this? By sticking to our game plan. We brought in EVERYBODY. Open lines. Me, not being in a coaching position nor wanting to make any kind of decisions beyond thinking "what is the TIGHT thing to do right now" with the disc, saw this as "try to score on O, and open up the D lines". MAN! dId IT wORk! We scored. once, twice, again and again.
My favorite play (the one I remember) had me in it. How'd it go? Bill and Adam in the back playing catch, Remi and Cyn in the middle, Marji and April deep, and Jake playing D. D? well thats what Jake does. He's a D machine. Anyway, big put from Adam to Remi downfield. Remi and I start moving the disc towards the endzone. He looks me off. I keep running as he attempts to throw a turnover. I don't know what else to call it, that's what it looked like, that's what it should have been. Me, Right place, right time, SNATCH! caught that swilly turnover for remi in the midst of a maelstrom of Chiefin' Mischiefers.

Sidenote: My worst play. IO flick always, always there for me in Sectionals, practice, blah. Destroyed. Handblocked in my first point of the game. Chief plays solid D, especially on the handlers, and us being too lazy to break the mark early hurt us all game.

Game 3 - Night Train
At this point we find out our pool is fucked up. Carleton shit the bed with night train, losing a not very close game. We really wanted to beat night train, because, historically, that's what we do at regionals, we break seed, and we break it hard. I was not FIReD up for this game. This is the pound a red bull part of the day. Did not have any to assist the mcmuffin I also didn't have in my stomach. Feeling flat, I felt our whole team felt flat. Little did I know, that was enough for those chumps on NTrain. Once we shut down that huge chick that plays like a fat old handler man, we figured things out. We trailed the whole game, tying it at various points. Definitely threw another shitty hammer to nobody. Then, when I lost all hope for me doing something TIGHT, I threw a big 50 yardish forehand to A-MAC BOOYAH-san... BOOM -headshot. Game over.

Or was that a different game? I think it might've ended differently... universe point. We are on D, Ntrain gives us a turnover 20 yards out of their endzone. Slow walk up. Adam to Cyn in the Endzone... Game Over ... WE WIN!!!

15-14? Bozeman. F* You NTrain... You bunch of nerds...

That's the end of pool play. Coming in as the 4th seed, formats expect us to go 0-4. We went 1-2, and so did Ntrain and CUTzickerP. Chief on top, 3-0. Point Diff.... everything goes to seed. We get last, but it's a good kind of last, where you win a game against the one team you never want to lose to.

4th game of the day saw us exit the championship bracket to play for 8th place. Bummer... never been to Florida...

First game in bracket play put us against Triceratops, who finished 15th. Almost played this team at spawnfest, but we lost or something and didn't play them. If triceratops have a natural predator, I think it's a clown. We were in control for this entire game. After running all day, we knew what we were doing and kept running. Big props to the ladies... Anyway, tops was an athletic bunch of punks, just like me... but probably in better shape. Again, our offense at sectionals and regionals has consisted of Adam and I keeping posession, with Johnny, Ian, Cyn, Remi, and Jake being our big targets downfield. This kept clicking and we scored mostly without having to flex our clown muscles. And then I threw the big bomb to A-Mac on the flick. This is how I feel about our offense - I like it. Cuz Adam always gets open when I look for it. This time Adam went deep, and I was looking the whole time as he ran into/next to/ through everyone deep.. Then, when I lost all hope for me doing something TIGHT, I threw a big 50 yardish forehand to A-MAC BOOYAH-san... BOOM -headshot. Game over.

Sunday -

We show up late. Like always. We got lost again on the way to the fields; the night before found us trying to find our way home using the sun's reflection off of the moon. F* that too.

A.I.R. - This team was a bunch of chump wannabe hookah smoking hoobadee hoos. F* em too. We came out late, but strong... scoring several before they knew it. We did our things, they did theirs. In the end, we were better. Several very intense moments... I was ready to kick some ass. My best comment of the weekend : "uh, here's your bouncer... get the fuck outta here." Some chump up in Remi's face about some bogus call... Spirit of the game... suffers from lack of refs. Introduce refs, spirit dies, and we do what the world calls sportsmanship... we hate the ref, not each other.

ONE another won. 12-8

This shot us back down the chute to play G-spike. They painted something special gold and they won sectionals. Sadly, they could find no golden paint in Oregon and pooped the bed against SLUTCUT.
We played a good game against spike, coming out strong getting a break and going up a few. (4-0?) Strong first half, this is where I threw one of two good hammers all weekend. Adam ditches me alone in the back as he goes deep, everyone is covered, so I throw a huge rainbow blade hammer of love to A-MAC right over the defender into the breadbasket in the back of the endzone. I've thrown better hammers. But I can't remember when. I mean, this hammer was MONEY. Then a few points later/before I threw another one. This one was a similar situation, reddish zone, (20-25 yards out) catch the up the line from the McClure, nothing coming in up the line, nobody going deep but C-holly-man who's too deep for the flick, Cyn curled break side and Bah bah BOOOOOOM! Another nail in the coffin. I think the inter-gender connection says something about me... my throws are money. Some are worth more than others, however.
I'm not sure how that hammer to cyn actually went, but I think it was something like that.

Anyway we lose this game too, 15-9.

bozeman goes 3-3 in the best region of the country. not bad. Drive home sucked. There you go Adam, there's your write-up. Bring the Crown tonight.

Sectionals

Sectionals Recap:
Sectionals were held in Missoula this year, similar to last year, although Bozeman brought a completely different team. A mix of last years B-team and A-team, the bozos brought their largest squad ever to sectionals. In my memory, at least. Saturday saw the bozos straggle in for their first game of the day, starting a few minutes late. Flathead? didn't see us coming and probably weren't really looking for us and we took an easy 2-0 lead after I threw a nice IO flick to a wide open and we capitalized on a dropped pull. They made a run back at us early thanks to non commital defense and general lack of intensity in the first half as people struggled to get cleats on. The game continued, we took half and traded out points to something like 13-7 for the win.

Our next game was against boise. Shitten Froda (boise w/ a Tolkien twist) has a small cast of characters with handlers that play well together and a good receiving core of fast ladies and tall cutters. Our flatness from the first game continued into the first half, and we soon found ourselves down 6-2. I made a decision to play defense this year, and it payed off when I got a layout d on a swilly give and go. This opened up the floodgates for the bozeman D. Everyone on the field started running hard and taking away easy throws for boise, making them work for resets. Great D by everyone knocked boise on their heels and we cruised for a 13-11 victory.
Next up was missoula, and they look good. New Five jerseys - I was skeptical of the gray at first until I saw Camas. He looked good. They have these baller all white trucker hats, very nice. Still trying to get my hands on one. Ken? Anyway, I kept playing defense this game, running hard, making the offense work, rather than giving them anything they wanted. D is hard. Run, run, run, shitballs. We went down early a few points, then came back, then took half. Can't remember everyone's highlights, but I had a sweet huck to someone and then cross field hammer to Adam that was SICK. Score them points. Second half saw missoula step up and execute on offense and capitalize on defense. We scored a couple and they beat us 13-10. Camas, Dom, Kimmel - We don't need you. But we want you.

Next game, somebody, we won, they were lame, time for food. Weather was not cooperating at this point and I was fairly miserable. but the pork was delicious.
Sunday morning had us up bright and early to take on the missoula youth team. I was psyched to see a youth team at the tournament. They ran hard and seemed like they were having fun, even though we crushed them 13-1. Should have been 13-2 but a sweet huck was dropped in out of someone's breadbasket and we scored instead. sorry... not.
Finally! Bracket play. We went 4-1 so that put us in the bracket for 2nd/3rd. We matched up against Edmonton (canada? w. t . f.?) and the beat us with their defense. They played tight man all game despite windy conditions. They would cover our dumps in the backfield and beat us to the spot on up the line cuts, it was really difficult to get open. It sucked. Shitty first half, better second half, but we still lost. Bill's tight play of the game - I think it was our 4th possesion of the point, at least I think I had thrown it away 3 times before that, and I picked the disc up at midfield right after a turn, saw jake go from about 10 yards in front of me, and put it up directly in front him, making it footrace to the disc. Turbo ain't turbo for nothing - he ran right past the defense and caught the goal. That point sucked. I was really hoping they would score so I could sit on the sideline. But then we scored! tightt......score 13-9, edmonton.

Boise had to play a shitty team out of the get go.... this affected their play. We were running hard after edmonton and boise looked tired. Their go to guy, porter, played like shit. He looked really tired and didn't play any d on me after bozo's got turns. I think we took half 8-3. We tightened up the O line, for this game and the edmonton game, with Adam, Johnne, Bill, Ian, Cyn, Julie and Jess working it up the field consistently and fairly easily to keep the pressure off the defense and let them make big plays for us. And they did. If Jake's got a turbo under the hood, Alfred is a riced out rig that's supercharged. He's quick. And he got d's. It was sick. Hard handler d shut boise down, and their cutters didn't know where to go when the disc stopped moving in the backfield. We went up 13-7, then it was 13-8 after boise scored an easy O point. Alex Buetow, sideline player of the weekend hopped onto the field for a point, didn't touch the disc, and we scored. 14-8. Game point in the game to go. We tried really hard to play O on this last point. Fucking Johnne was having none of it, snagging his first callahan (he's old) in his career and sealing the deal. Bozo's are coming to Corvallis.

Practice tonight with the bozos/sectional preparation. Come out and join the fun! I've gotten a few emails and questions about when ultimate is and where and what not. It's still MWF at the Kagy fields, just behind the fieldhouse from campus. I'd show up at 6, expecting to play at 6:45...

Just grabbed new paperwork for the year, might be shifting the command around this year, taking a step back... gotta get done with school sometime. We also have a new advisor looking to fill the large shoes left behind by Will Burrows, and the slightly smaller, but probably nicer shoes of Betsy Danforth. Camas Key... similar sized shoes to Will... is our new advisor.

Sorry for the long delays between posts... I guess I got nothing to say or share lately. But I just found this and it was crazy.

The weather here sucks. Snowed yesterday, 32 degrees today, but I'm hopeful that it won't snow tomorrow. Congrats to Chris... CUT won sectionals yet again.

Sectionals: Ground Zero

Well... Sectionals.

Sectionals didn't go that well. We went 1-2, losing to Utah and BYU.

Plagued by snowstorms for weeks leading up to sectionals, and continuing this week, fields remained closed to us. Saturday morning was our first game outside, and potentially a season ender.

The format was a round-robin, and if a team went 3-0, it went to regionals. We played Utah first, a large team for our section and coached by Chris Watkins. They had several guys who played for Golden Spike, a national level mixed team from SLC. They also had keith? a CUT alumn, playing for them.

They game seemed closer than it was, with teams trading, but they threw a few breaks in every once and a while. Our easiest goals were big hucks to Willdough and Ass-cam... coming from Easy B. We lose, 13-7.

Next game was against BYU, I think they won last year. We came out, they scored, we scored,they scored, they broke us, again, again, again. SHITBALLS... 12-3. Uh oh. Well these mormans could run, not plagued by beer bellies, college parties, and snow. We were defenitely outhustled. So we threw a zone, and with the slight wind, they couldn't handle it. We forced turn after turn, and brought the game back to 12-7 or so before they finally punched one in, game over.

Watched the BYU- Utah game, as it was essentially the finals, before playing Montana. Basically BYU just ran threw everyone this weekend. All of them were great athletes, and it just seemed like no-one could keep up.

Then we beat Montana, kinda bullshit, pickup like game. 13-9 or something.

Best Quote of the weekend: After a turn by Utah.

Thursday Tourney Results

In Beard's words: "It was bad-ass"

Due to the success of tonight's experimental tourney-practice, the new plan is to have a tournament every Thursday and have traditional scrimmages on Tuesdays, as well as being able to finish the previous tourney at the beginning.

If your weren't there, we were able to split into four somewhat even teams and play 8 games with the championship game scheduled for Tuesday. The title game will feature a very strong undefeated team led by Adam and a battle-tested team led by Camas. The Calahan award for the night goes to Alex Buetow who played out of his skull and fought with Camas all night long. The spirit award goes to the Cannibals who went 0-4 but did it with style.
